Save these dates! Gecko Gala Preview—Friday, April 16, 2010 (5-8pm) The Gecko’s will have been rounded up and available for preview on the Riverfront at Rossi Park. There will a cocktail hour for sponsors, supporters and potential buyers for the Geckos. Outside there will be a family-friendly event free to the public with a special screening of “Godzilla” at Reels on Rossi beginning at 8pm. Geckos On Parade—Saturday, April 24, 2010 look for us in the Hernando DeSoto Historical Society’s Grand Parade Geckofest Gala Dinner Auction —Geckofest, May 1, 2010 with a Gala and Live Auction at the Courtyard by Marriott Riverfront. Tickets $100 per person which includes dinner, open bar and the opportunity to bid on your favorite gecko. There will also be a silent auction featuring geckettes, 12" geckos which have been hand painted by the gecko artists. Tickets can be purchased by calling the South Florida Museum at 941-746-4131, ext17. 
If you are interested in having a fun gecko on your building, come to the Grab A Gecko party on Tuesday, September 15th from 5-7pm at the South Florida Museum in downtown Bradenton. You will be able to choose from over 200 gecko designs submitted by 50 artists or you can talk to the artists about a custom design for your building. Themes range from medical geckos, golfing, sports, college teams, florals, mosaic and 3D designs….the list is limited only by your imagination. Sponsoring a gecko starts at $500 which entitles you to a gecko on your or your favorite non-profit's building. As a sponsor, you will also have an opportunity to pre-purchase your gecko for $1000 more or you can take your chance on purchasing your gecko at auction.
